What is the significance of Ayatul Kursi and what is the evidence of its greatness?

Ayat al-Kursi is the greatest verse in the Holy Quran. Many hadiths have been narrated regarding its virtues. It protects its reciter from jinn and devils, expelling them from the house in which it is recited. It also contains the Greatest Name of Allah, by which if He is invoked, He responds. And whoever recites it after every prescribed prayer, nothing will prevent him from entering Paradise except death.
