Is it permissible to recite the Qur’an for a specific purpose, such as healing, or on certain occasions like Ramadan and mourning, or to study the subject matter of the Qur’an?

Reciting the Quran is permissible at all times and in all states, as long as the reciter is not in a state of major ritual impurity (junub). It is recommended for a Muslim to recite it frequently to earn the reward of ten good deeds for every letter recited. One should not limit its recitation to specific times or occasions.
