What is the distribution of the estate (land and house) among the heirs of a man who passed away, leaving behind a wife, seven daughters, and three full sisters, knowing that his parents passed away before him and he has no male children or male siblings?

The heirs are the wife, who receives one-eighth; the seven daughters, who receive two-thirds; and the three sisters, who receive the remainder by ta'sib (residuary heirship) due to the presence of the daughters.

As for the division of the land and the house: The principle is to subdivide the land and distribute it among the heirs according to their shares, if the parts are equal and it is possible to divide it without harm. If it is not possible, then either it is given to some of the heirs with compensation to the others after valuation, or it is sold and its price is distributed among the heirs. The same applies to the house: if it is divisible, then it is subject to the same rulings as the division of land. It is permissible for the heirs to agree upon a specific division among themselves. Matters of inheritance must be referred to the Sharia courts due to the presence of specialized committees for them.
