Is it permissible to swallow saliva, or traces of toothpaste or food, during prayer?

Swallowing saliva does not affect the prayer. The prayer is not invalidated by swallowing tiny food particles that remain between the teeth and are carried away with saliva, due to the difficulty of avoiding them. The lingering smell and taste of toothpaste in the mouth do not harm the prayer.
