Why did you issue a fatwa that a child born out of wedlock is attributed to his mother and his lineage to his father is not established, even though this may lead to the permissibility of his marriage to his father's daughters, which is impermissible according to Sharia?

The child of adultery is not attributed to the adulterer. However, according to the majority of scholars, such a child is considered born into prohibition, even if not into inheritance or a state of being mahram. This is because the rulings of lineage can be fragmented. For instance, breastfeeding establishes a prohibited degree for marriage, but not inheritance. Similarly, the Mothers of the Believers are considered mothers in terms of prohibition for marriage, but not in terms of being mahram. Ibn Taymiyyah mentioned that the rulings of lineage are fragmented, and that the prohibition of marrying the daughter of adultery remains. Al-Shawkani did not disagree with the majority on this issue.
