Is it obligatory to shave the pubic hair despite severe sensitivity and pain, and is it permissible to delay shaving until a solution is found?

Shaving the pubic hair is a Sunnah according to the majority of scholars, and one who abstains from it does not incur sin. However, Judge Abu Bakr ibn al-Arabi viewed it as obligatory, but his opinion is considered weak. The Fiqh Encyclopedia states that shaving the pubic hair is a Sunnah for both men and women. It is not appropriate to leave pubic hair or armpit hair for more than forty days. One who leaves it beyond this period acts contrary to the Sunnah. If leaving it results in impurities that compromise ritual purity, then its removal becomes obligatory. For those who are harmed by shaving, they can use scissors, pluck, or use depilatory cream. If one is unable to remove the hair by any method, then this obligation is waived, for Allah does not burden a soul beyond its capacity.
