What is the ruling on working in the field of women's beautification (makeup artist), and what are its legitimate controls related to the woman being adorned and displaying pictures of adornment?

It is permissible for a woman to work in decorating other women with religious stipulations, among them: that the decoration be free of forbidden elements like plucking eyebrows (nams) and hair extensions (wasl), and that she does not adorn a woman who displays her beauty to non-mahram men, whether she is veiled and shows her eyes with striking adornment, or unveiled. It is permissible to adorn a woman who does not display her beauty in front of non-mahram men, and the criterion for this is knowledge or strong presumption. There is no objection to displaying pictures of veiled or unveiled women with their adornment in a place designated for women only. Adherence to Islamic law and not assisting in wrongdoing is advised.
