What is the ruling on one who does not forbid his family from disrespecting the Basmalah written on a money bag, and what is the ruling on his family's action, and what is the ruling on not advising someone who places the word of Allah on the ground or displays newspapers on the sidewalk?

As long as the aforementioned bag is used for keeping money, it is likely that it will be protected and not subjected to disrespect. Therefore, there is no blame upon your family for possessing it without disrespecting it, and no blame upon you for delaying advice as long as you did not witness any disrespect. However, placing anything upon which the name of Allah (Jalalah) is written on the ground is a grave evil that must be forbidden, for exalting the rituals of Allah is from the piety of hearts. And whoever falls short in advising has abandoned the duty of enjoining good and forbidding evil, so he must repent to Allah.
