The answer

Intermediation is intercession. It can be good, for assisting in righteousness, or permissible, for obtaining what is lawful, or bad, if it aids evil or injustice. As for bribery, it is the giving of money to obtain something to which one is not entitled, and it is one of the major sins; "The curse of Allah be upon the briber and the bribed." It is permissible to pay a bribe if a person cannot obtain their right except through it, in which case it is unlawful for the receiver but not for the giver.
