Is it possible to marry without the father's consent under the mentioned circumstances?

The fundamental principle is that the guardian (wali) in marriage is the father. If he prevents his daughter from marrying a suitable suitor without a valid reason, then he is an 'adil (one who obstructs marriage). In such a case, the woman is permitted to refer the matter to the Sharia judge, who will either marry her off or order her guardian to do so. If he refuses, the ruler (Sultan) will arrange her marriage. Regardless of the father's condition, honoring him and accompanying him with kindness is obligatory.
