Television, like other media, is not inherently prohibited; the prohibition relates to what is broadcast on it. Those responsible for mosques should be keen to hold lessons by inviting scholars. If this is not possible, then there is no objection to bringing in a television to listen to lessons via committed channels, provided they are regulated to avoid objectionable content. As for the issue of wine glasses, a Muslim should not acquire them, neither in the mosque nor elsewhere, except out of necessity, because they may lead to accusations of drinking and immorality.
