The answer

"Jumu'ah" is the name for the day and the prayer performed on it. It was named so because people gather on this day, or due to the goodness it contains. It is also said that Adam was created and united with Eve on this day. The first to name it "Yawm al-Jumu'ah" (Day of Assembly) was Ka'b ibn Lu'ayy, and its old name was "Yawm al-'Arubah" (Day of Arabism). It is the best day of the week.
