Does Allah's saying: (These are the verses of Allah that We recite to you in truth. So in what statement after Allah and His verses will they believe?) not indicate that "statements" are mere fabrications?

The noble verse is not evidence for what was mentioned; rather, it is a reprimand to the polytheists for their denial and rejection of the Qur’an. It is a rhetorical question, expressing disapproval, about their belief in anything else after the clarity of the Qur’an. The precedence of Allah's name in "after Allah and His verses" is for emphasis and magnification.

The noble Sunnah, the Qur’an has indicated the obligation of adhering to it and acting upon what it signifies. One who denies the Sunnah demolishes the religion, because the Sunnah is independent in legislating rulings and is a religious necessity.
