Is everything that has happened and is happening to me predetermined and written, including forgetfulness, inattentiveness, and regret, or is forgetfulness not predetermined, and I control it, or Satan does?

Everything that befalls a person is predestined and inscribed in the Preserved Tablet. Forgetfulness is among the predestined matters, with its causes, whether due to human negligence or not. Forgetfulness is attributed to man by acquisition, to Satan by instigation, and to God by creation and decree, and each attribution carries a correct meaning. Forgetfulness is from Satan because he whispers and makes man forget what he intends to do. Likewise, the remembrance of God expels Satan; if Satan departs, forgetfulness departs. In conclusion, forgetfulness and everything that happens to a person is from God, and what is attributed to Satan is by God's empowerment.
