Does the deceased, if buried next to another deceased person who is being tormented, see that torment and suffer from it?

The matters pertaining to the inhabitants of graves are unseen (ghaybiyah) and cannot be asserted definitively except with a legal text (nass shar'i). It has been deemed desirable to bury beside righteous people, and this is supported by the action of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, in burying Uthman ibn Maz'un and his saying: "I will know by it the grave of my brother, and I will bury those who die from my family next to it," and his saying upon the death of his daughter Zaynab: "Join her with our righteous predecessor: Uthman ibn Maz'un."
