Is saying, "O Allah, bless us in Shaaban and enable us to reach Ramadan," permissible?

It is permissible for a Muslim to make the aforementioned supplication: "O Allah, bless us in Rajab and Sha'ban and bless us in Ramadan." This supplication is prescribed. It was narrated from Anas ibn Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace be upon him) used to make this supplication upon the arrival of Rajab. In another narration, there is an addition: "and enable us to reach Ramadan," but its chain of transmission is weak.
