The fetus, before the insufflation of the soul, has an involuntary movement of growth and nourishment. Similarly, the sperm moves on its own before its fusion with the ovum. This does not contradict the texts of divine revelation, which do not negate this type of movement. As for voluntary movement, it does not occur until after the insufflation of the soul, after one hundred and twenty days.
