Mixing between men and women at work has detrimental effects and clear corrupting influences, including: unlawful looking and touching, khalwa (private seclusion), attachment of hearts, and the destruction of families. Therefore, Islamic law has prohibited mixing that leads to these corrupting influences. Whoever leaves her job fearing mixing has done well, and her leaving it is hoped that Allah will compensate her with something better, not only financially, but with comfort, tranquility, and success. Furthermore, learning and teaching the Quran is among the best deeds. If she needs to work and finds an opportunity in her specialization free from mixing, there is no harm, alongside the possibility of teaching the Quran, for happiness lies in faith and piety.
