Am I obligated to obey my father regarding studying and performing obligatory acts, given that I have memorized the Qur'an, observe the Sunnah, play sports, and sometimes attend funerals?

Allah has commanded kindness to parents and forbidden harming them, as He, the Almighty, says: "And your Lord has decreed that you shall not worship except Him, and to parents, good treatment. Whether one or both of them reach old age [while] with you, say not to them [even] 'uff,' and do not repel them but speak to them a noble word." Obedience to parents is obligatory with certain conditions, including: that it not involve disobedience to Allah, that they have a valid purpose, and that it does not cause harm or hardship to the child. If a parent commands the abandonment of supererogatory acts for a valid purpose – such as compassion for the child and encouraging them to study – then obedience is obligatory.
