Do the sons of deceased brothers inherit from their uncle who died, leaving behind daughters, a wife, and living full brothers, or is the inheritance limited to his daughters, wife, and living full brothers only?
The son of a maternal brother (half-brother from the mother's side) does not inherit at all. As for the full brother's son (son of a full-brother), he inherits if the deceased has no father, grandfather, son, grandson, full-brother, or paternal brother (half-brother from the father's side). The paternal brother's son (son of a half-brother from the father's side) inherits only if there is no full brother's son. Nephews (sons of brothers) do not inherit if there is a full-brother or a paternal brother. A maternal brother (half-brother from the mother's side) does not inherit if the deceased has daughters. Cases of inheritance must be submitted to the courts for investigation due to the possibility of wills, debts, or other rights that take precedence over the heirs' right.
