If a wife speaks to a non- man in a forbidden manner, divorce occurs, whether the husband intended to pronounce it or merely to threaten. The husband must prevent his wife from returning to this evil. If she repents and becomes upright, he should keep her and live with her kindly, covering her faults. However, if she returns to evil deeds, then he should divorce her.
