Is it permissible to pray in a room that contains illustrative pictures of humans?

The default is for men to pray in congregation at the mosque. However, employees are permitted to pray at their workplace if there is a concern of harming their work. Prayer is not permissible in a place that contains images of living beings except out of necessity, because angels do not enter a house that has a dog or an image. Furthermore, praying in a place where there is an image in front of the worshipper resembles idol worship. Therefore, prayer is valid in this specific case due to necessity, but efforts must be made to remove the images, obscure the facial features, or find another prayer space free of images.
