Is it true that Uthman ibn Affan (may Allah be pleased with him) had intercourse with his concubine on the night of the burial of the Messenger of Allah’s (peace and blessings be upon him) daughter? And why did the Messenger distance him from her grave? And is the death of Muawiyah ibn Al-Mughirah related to the death of the Messenger's daughter?

The reason the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, asked for a man who had not had intercourse with his wife on the night his daughter was buried was to ensure a state of humility and remembrance of death, not preoccupation with worldly pleasures. There is no evidence that Uthman ibn Affan, may Allah be pleased with him, had intercourse with his wife that night. Her illness might have been prolonged, and he might not have anticipated her death. As for the story of Mu'awiyah ibn al-Mughirah, it has no relation to the death of Umm Kulthum, daughter of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, and al-Waqidi, who mentioned it, is not considered a reliable narrator. Therefore, there is no aspersion whatsoever on Uthman, may Allah be pleased with him, in this matter.
