The answer

The Shari'ah does not specify a limit for profit. However, a Muslim trader should not be greedy and selfish. Rather, he must observe the ethical aspect in his dealings and recall the words of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him: "May Allah have mercy upon a man who is lenient when he sells, when he buys, and when he demands."
