The answer

The agreement between two partners to divide profits equally despite a difference in capital is permissible according to the preponderant opinion. This is based on the saying of Al-Majd Ibn Taymiyyah: "Profit in every partnership is according to what they have stipulated," and Al-Khiraqi's saying: "Profit is according to what they have agreed upon." Ibn Qudamah holds the view that profit is earned through work, so it is permissible to have a disparity in it based on experience and effort.
