Is it permissible to supplicate with: "O Allah, have mercy on me through the Qur'an and do not deprive me of it"?

There is no objection to supplicating with "O Allah, have mercy on me by means of the Qur'an" or similar phrases. This falls under asking Allah by means of righteous deeds if the letter "bi" (by, with) indicates causality. It has been narrated that the Salaf supplicated with similar words, such as the supplication of 'Uthman, may Allah be pleased with him: "O Allah, have mercy on me by means of the Qur'an, and make it for me a leader, a light, a guide, and a mercy. O Allah, remind me of what I have forgotten from it." And the supplication of Abu Ja'far al-Baqir: "O Allah, forgive me by means of the Qur'an, O Allah, have mercy on me by means of the Qur'an, O Allah, guide me by means of the Qur'an, O Allah, grant me sustenance by means of the Qur'an."
