Are the palm and fingertips among the attributes of God? What is the proof for that? And does their absence from mention in most well-known sources indicate ignorance or doubt?

The Hand, Fingers, and Fingertips are among Allah’s essential, descriptive attributes, as indicated by sound Sunnah and agreed upon by the Ahl al-Sunnah (People of the Sunnah). Among the ahadith that demonstrate this are:

The hadith of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “No one gives charity from good earnings – and Allah accepts only what is good – but the Most Merciful takes it with His right hand, even if it is a single date. It then grows in the palm of the Most Merciful until it becomes greater than a mountain.”

And the hadith of Abdullah ibn Amr ibn al-Aas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Indeed, the hearts of all mankind are between two of the fingers of the Most Merciful, like a single heart; He turns it however He wills.”

And the hadith of Mu'adh ibn Jabal (may Allah be pleased with him) regarding the dispute among the Exalted Assembly, in which the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Then I saw Him place His palm between my shoulders, until I felt the coolness of His fingertips between my breasts. Then everything became clear to me, and I knew.”

Imam Abu Bakr ibn Khuzaymah (may Allah have mercy on him) said: “Chapter: Affirming the Fingers for Allah, the Almighty and Majestic.” The Ahl al-Sunnah have unanimously agreed upon affirming these attributes for Allah the Almighty, without takyif (questioning how), tashbih (resembling Him to creation), or ta'til (denying His attributes), but rather in a manner befitting Him, glorified be He.
