Does Allah hold the universe on His finger?

The method of Ahlus-Sunnah wal-Jama'ah is to affirm the attribute of 'fingers' for Allah, the Almighty and Majestic, as stated in the hadith of Ibn Mas'ud, narrated by the two Sheikhs (Bukhari and Muslim), that Allah Almighty will hold the heavens, the earths, the mountains, the trees, the water, the dust, and all other creation with His 'fingers' on the Day of Resurrection. Then He will shake them and say, "I am the King! I am the King!" The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, laughed in affirmation of the rabbi's statement and recited: "And they did not appraise Allah with true appraisal. The earth entirely will be in His grasp on the Day of Resurrection, and the heavens rolled up in His right hand. Exalted is He above what they associate with Him." Ahlus-Sunnah affirm this attribute for Allah without delving into 'how' (takyeef) or making comparisons (tamtheel), as mentioned by Abul-Hasan Al-Ash'ari.
