Is it permissible to pray in a church or in multi-faith prayer rooms that contain crosses, idols, and statues, if a mosque or a designated prayer area is unavailable? And is it obligatory to repeat the prayers that were performed in those places if it is deemed impermissible?

Praying in a church is permissible out of necessity if it is clean. Some Companions and Successors did so, just as the Prophet prayed inside the Kaaba, which contained images. However, it is preferable for Muslims to provide their own prayer spaces, because praying in churches is a matter of disagreement and should only be done when necessary. Furthermore, it involves exposure to crosses and images that might distract the worshiper, and others might think that Islam lacks clear principles.
