Is it permissible to pray in the house of Christians?

It is disliked to pray in the houses of Christians, or in the house of a Muslim whose occupants do not guard against impurities, such as a place where children walk or where people do not guard against impurities. Re-performing the prayer is not obligatory, unless the worshipper is certain of the presence of impurity or is not certain of purity in a place overwhelmingly associated with impurity.

However, if a Muslim prays in these places on a pure prayer rug, there is no dislike. It is disliked for the worshipper to pray with pictures or statues in front of him (in his Qiblah), due to the resemblance to idol worship.
