What is the ruling on a preacher descending from the minbar to quiet children in the mosque's prayer area, then returning to complete the sermon?

There is no harm for the preacher to descend from the pulpit for a need, such as silencing the children, if the interruption is not long. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, descended from the pulpit to silence the weeping palm trunk, and when he saw Al-Hasan and Al-Husayn stumbling in their walk, he carried them and ascended the pulpit with them.
