Who are the Usulis? And who are the Akhbaris?

The Akhbaris are the Sunnis who are concerned with transmitting historical news and events and are well-known for it, such as Al-Mada'ini and Al-Haytham ibn Adi. As for the Usulis, they are the prominent figures in the science of Usul al-Fiqh (principles of Islamic jurisprudence), and they have a keen interest and preoccupation with it; they are numerous, varying across different schools of thought.
