One afflicted with obsessive thoughts is not held accountable for what they say or do unconsciously. They should treat themselves with legal , consistently recite the a'udhat (invocations for protection), and distance themselves from obsessive thoughts by completely ignoring them, as they are from Satan who wishes to lead the believer into error and confusion.
