What is the ruling on praying in a mosque located in a building that includes a nightclub, a church, and residential rooms around which suspicions of prostitution revolve, and what is the correct action required of those in charge of it?

Prayer in a mosque that has a nightclub beneath it or a church above it is permissible and valid, due to the general statement of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him: "The earth has been made for me a mosque and a means of purification, so wherever a man of my Ummah is overtaken by prayer, let him pray."

However, a suitable location should be chosen for the mosque, far from impurities and temptations. Therefore, those responsible for managing the mosque are advised to sell it and build another mosque with its price in a suitable location. This is for the benefit of gathering Muslims and protecting them from temptation, and safeguarding them from ill-suspicion and places of idle talk. Ibn Taymiyyah also permitted the replacement of a mosque for a beneficial purpose.
