Is it possible for one to desire friends in the Hereafter in specific forms and have that granted, and is it possible for one to desire sodomy and have that granted, knowing that some scholars say there is no sodomy in the Hereafter?

The questioner is advised to stay away from bad companions due to the dangers of their company. He is reminded of the Prophet's (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: "A person is on the religion of his intimate friend, so let one of you look at whom he befriends."

It is affirmed that the people of Paradise will attain therein whatever they wish and desire, as stated in the Almighty's saying: "They will have therein whatever they wish." However, the people of Paradise are purified from imperfections and ailments, so they will not wish for sodomy or any act that contradicts sound human nature, because Allah will remove from their hearts every sickness or malice and will refine their souls.

The servant should busy himself with seeking entry into Paradise and a high rank therein, and with asking Allah for the highest level of Paradise (Al-Firdaws Al-A'la).
