What is meant by the Prophet's saying: "The scholars are the inheritors of the Prophets"?

The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, clarified that the prophets did not bequeath dinars or dirhams, but rather they bequeathed knowledge. Thus, the prophets' wealth is not inherited but is considered charity, and what is inherited from them is knowledge, and its inheritors are the scholars.
