Renting land for a specific rent from its yield is impermissible due to the unknown nature of the rent, which leads to the invalidation of the contract, unless it is not stipulated that the rent must be from its yield. Thus, the aforementioned contract is invalid, and the lessor is entitled to the fair rental value of his land. There is no on the land itself, but zakat is obligatory on what is produced from it for the tenant, and it includes the entire crop without deducting the rental value.
