There are two estates in this matter: the husband's estate and the wife's estate. The husband's estate: his deceased wife receives one-eighth, and the remainder goes to his sons and daughters, with the male receiving the share of two females. His stepdaughter receives nothing. The wife's estate: it is divided among her living heirs (sons and daughters, including the stepdaughter), with the male receiving the share of two females. If she has no heir other than her daughter (the stepdaughter), then her entire estate goes to her, half as a prescribed share and half as a return. We stress that matters of inheritance are serious and complex and must be referred to courts or trustworthy scholars for investigation.
