You are not obliged to obey your family's request for you to divorce your husband, and you are not considered disobedient by disagreeing with them on this matter; for obedience is only in what is right. Your husband is more deserving of your obedience than your parents after marriage. Your family's attempt to separate you from your husband without valid reason is a grave sin. Nevertheless, you must treat your parents with kindness and dutifulness, no matter their condition.
