What is the ruling if postpartum bleeding (nifas) occurs only as drops?

Nifas blood is the blood discharged due to childbirth. It carries the same rulings as menstrual blood, meaning it prohibits prayer, fasting, and intercourse. Its maximum duration is forty days. There is no difference whether it comes continuously or intermittently, unless the bleeding stops completely and the area dries, even for an hour. In that case, she performs ghusl and prays, and she remains in a state of nifas as long as the blood does not exceed forty days.
