Has the door of repentance been closed in our time, based on the interpretation of the sun rising from its west as resembling the West, and abandoning the Qur’an and Sunnah?

The words of Allah and His Messenger are in clear and understandable Arabic. The default understanding of speech is its literal meaning, and it is not permissible to distort it except with strong evidence. Interpretation (ta'wil) that leads to nullifying information or contradicting a command is invalid. The interpretation of the sun rising from its west is far-fetched and lacks evidence, contradicting the apparent meaning. Indeed, Muslim narrated from Abu Musa that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Indeed, Allah, the Almighty and Exalted, extends His hand by night to accept the repentance of the one who sinned by day, and He extends His hand by day to accept the repentance of the one who sinned by night, until the sun rises from its west." This indicates that repentance remains accepted until the sun rises from its west, after which it will not be accepted.
