The answer

The whispers (Waswas) that a person experiences are not held against them, but they must not succumb to them. Indeed, some people asked the Prophet (peace be upon him): "We find in ourselves thoughts that one of us would deem too awful to speak of." He said: "Have you indeed found that?" They said: "Yes." He said: "That is clear faith." The intention here is that disliking these whispers, hating them, and being repulsed by them is clear faith. Since you have forgotten the type of these whispers, the default is their non-existence, because the principle is the acquittal of responsibility.
