Is reciting verses from the Holy Quran at the beginning of celebrations or religious lessons considered an innovation (bid‘ah) and impermissible?

Opening celebrations or lessons with a portion of the Holy Quran is a good and permissible act, provided there is no belief in its established Sunnah from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him. It is better than other phrases and slogans. This opening resembles the opening of sermons with praise to Allah and prayers upon the Prophet. It is recommended for every author, student, teacher, and speaker to begin with praise to Allah before important matters, as well as prayers upon the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him.
