Is it permissible to adopt the view of Imam Malik concerning the issue of سلس (incontinence) to avoid the difficulty of applying a bandage or washing the body and clothes, in accordance with His, the Exalted, saying: "He has placed upon you no difficulty in religion"?

The Maliki school of thought holds that it is not obligatory for a person with urinary incontinence ( سلس ) to perform ablution for every prayer, nor is it obligatory to purify the impurity that exits in this manner. There is no harm in acting upon this school of thought or following those who issue fatwas according to it, especially in cases of hardship.
