Does inadvertently vocalizing some verses in a silent prayer invalidate the prayer, or is it rectified by the prostration of forgetfulness (sujood as-sahw), or does it require nothing and the prayer remains valid?

Whoever recites aloud intentionally or out of forgetfulness in a place where one is supposed to recite silently, their prayer is not invalidated. Scholars differed on whether they are required to perform the prostration of forgetfulness (sujud al-sahw). The Maliki school holds that one should prostrate for forgetfulness, while the Shafi'i school holds that one does not prostrate for forgetfulness because the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, did not prostrate for anything of the like. The matter is broad, so if one prostrates as a precaution, it would be better, but if one does not prostrate, there is no blame upon them.
