What is the ruling on one who makes a mistake in reciting the Qur’an during prayer?

Errors in Quranic recitation during prayer:

- If it is a minor mistake ( لحن خفيف) that does not change the meaning: It does not affect the validity of the prayer, but the Muslim must learn the rules of correct recitation.

- If it changes the meaning:

- In Al-Fatiha: It invalidates the prayer, because Al-Fatiha is a pillar (rukn), and it must be recited completely and correctly.

- In surahs other than Al-Fatiha: It does not invalidate the prayer.
