Does sin fall upon the one who keeps forbidden pictures, or upon the one who took them?

Sincere repentance erases sins, and repentance demolishes what came before it. The pictures must be destroyed, as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said to Ali: "Do not leave any image without obliterating it." As for the pictures in the possession of others, if you request them and they refuse to hand them over, then you are absolved, and the sin is upon them.
