Is a woman permanently forbidden to her husband if he swears an oath (mubahalah) with her concerning the issue of her virginity?

The description of "Li'an" (mutual imprecation) between spouses is well-known in Islamic law, and it is mentioned in the Holy Quran and the Prophetic Sunnah. As for "Mubahalah" (mutual imprecation to invoke God's curse), it is a different matter. If it occurs between spouses, it does not carry the same ruling as Li'an; thus, the wife is not permanently forbidden to her husband as in the case of Li'an. Spouses should not resort to Mubahalah; rather, trust should prevail in their lives.
