What is the ruling on someone who conceals the fact that a person is smoking and does not inform their parents?

Whoever observes someone smoking or committing a violation of Sharia should advise them for the sake of Allah, explaining the impermissibility and harm of smoking. If the person does not respond and is a minor under the care of their parents, the observer should inform the parents without publicizing the matter, based on the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "Whoever conceals [the fault of] a Muslim, Allah will conceal his fault in this world and the Hereafter."
