It is not permissible to buy books or programs, which are not allowed to be copied, from someone who has infringed upon their intellectual property rights. This is because the one who takes from an aggressor is like the aggressor, and Allah Almighty says: "And do not cooperate in sin and aggression." Therefore, if something is usurped or stolen, it is not permissible for a Muslim to take it from the one who aggressed upon it, if he knows that.
